These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the NBC BusBot Discord bot and the National Bus Community website.
About the service
NBC BusBot is the official Discord bot for the National Bus Community. It is built for the NBC Discord server. A wider public release is planned later.
Most features only run in the NBC Discord: NBClock, support tickets, staff moderation, quote images, and TransitTracker PRO role sync. If you add the bot to another server, those guild-only commands will not run outside the National Bus Community server.
Global commands (bus lookups, TransitTracker league, NBClock leaderboard) and selected DM commands remain available elsewhere, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptance
By adding the bot to a Discord server or using its commands, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Service
The bot provides bus and rail information, community tools, and related features on an “as is” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
Operational logging levels, sampling, retention periods, and storage limits may vary per server as configured by bot administrators, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
- Do not abuse, spam, or attempt to disrupt the bot or its infrastructure.
- Do not use the bot to violate Discord’s Terms of Service or applicable law.
- Server owners are responsible for ensuring the bot has appropriate permissions and that members are aware it collects operational metadata as described in the Privacy Policy. By adding the bot, you confirm you have authority to do so.
Third-party data
Transit data is sourced from third parties. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or availability of external APIs.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, National Bus Community is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the bot or reliance on displayed information.
